Customer Reviews

"We stopped here passing through from a trip in the mountains. So glad we did! Great service. Good prices and best of all wonderful food! You can't go wrong stopping here!"

- Teresa M.

"We asked at the Wood Brothers museum if they recommended any restaurants close by. They told us to go to the Stuart Family restaurant, and it didn't disappoint! We were traveling back home to Pennsylvania from the Martinsville race weekend and always stop at the Wood Brothers Racing museum."

- Ben W.

"Amazing service! Biscuits so light and great touch with the pepper in the gravy. It filled up FAST once the doors opened. Notably good coffee."

- Patt F.

"I absolutely loved the small town atmosphere. The staff was so friendly. I couldn't have had better service. The food was mediocre. The portions were large and the temperature was right on point! I wasn't a big fan of the cocktail sauce. The cabbage was great! The meatloaf was mediocre, the pinto beans were the best I've ever had!"

- Lisa M.

"Know what you're getting into here and you'll be happy. Past breakfast it's one of those places whose menu is as big as what can go from their freezer to a deep fryer or griddle, but it's great service and good value for money and you won't leave hungry. Had the country-fried steak and whitefish fish and chips. The country fried steak was thicker than expected (like the cube steak hadn't been pounded out as I'm used to) which was tender and crispy; the hush puppies were the standard slightly-too-sweet-from-a-bag, but fine, and the fried okra was great. The whitefish were the thin food-service fillets you're used to from church fish-fries where you are sometimes only eating breading, but seasoned and fried well. It's a little run-down with random deer-antler chandeliers and such, but it's clean. Our server was great and attentive. Definitely looking forward to stopping by the place for a breakfast. It's the kind of place that you are perfectly happy to stop by when you're on the way to somewhere, but is missing a special menu item that makes it a destination for a detour (like fresh-made big hush puppies or something)."

"Prices were higher than I expected. (I just had an appetizer and water and with tax and tip still spent around $12. I can't say exactly because I wasn't offered a receipt.) Waitress was fine. Atmosphere - meh.."
